What's included in the Standard Broadband Service?

3Mbps Class Service: 1 static IP and 5 email addresses each with 1000 Mb of personal web & mail server storage per email account.

The system uses shared bandwidth between many users on the same access point. We make our best effort to always provide at 3 Mbps web downloads, but your speeds may vary due to congestion, interference or environment factors. 

To take maximum advantage of the Lucketts.net broadband service, the customer should have at least one computer with a working ethernet port. Anything less could seriously hamper your web-surfing experience. Lucketts.net technicians can install ethernet cards, cable, routers, firewalls and do general in-home networking for an additional fee. 

Billing is done via email, with an invoice being sent out 10 days before the bill is due. Since almost all of our customers have computers, we rely on e-mail billing. Snail mail (USPS) billing is available for those that must have paper copies sent in envelopes. Our billing service is quite happy to do that for us, but since they charge us by the  piece, we pass that extra cost on as a fee of $2.50/month.  For those customers without computers, we may waive the extra fee.

Do I need a contact?

We do not offer or require new contracts for our standard service. You buy a month of service from us, and next month you buy another month of service.  You can stop at any time with no penalty. Do to past promotions and price matching our competition, there are some existing contracts in place. We will continue to honor those until they expire.

 

What is included with Standard Installation?

Standard Installation installs a suitable radio by bracket or antenna mounting pole on exterior or attic of home, and includes up to 50 ft of cable brought into attic or basement or penetration of 1 wall, and configuration of customer PC and/or customer router to work with network. Not included: wireless router, switch, fishing wires inside of walls, installing your home network, poles, tripods, towers. If an installation requires amplified radios or special antennas or additional equipment, a custom quote will be provided. We do not provide or prepare cable to all of your rooms or thread cables through multiple walls as part of a standard installation.

Will you price match your competition?

If you are offered internet service from our competition, please give us a chance to match their price & plan to keep you as a customer. If possible, we will match terms of any other wireless or satellite plan and beat their web download speeds.  For example,  if WildBlue's plan is $120 setup for 450 Kbps down/256K up at $49/m with an 18 month contract that increases to $59 per month at 12 months, we will give you the same contract terms and beat their speeds by at least 25%. We'd prefer not to do this, as our standard plan is already a much better value than this, and we prefer not to require contracts.

Other things you can pay us for:

VoIP - Voice over IP is now available for $25/m plus taxes and fees. Click on the VoIP menu to check it out.

We can do Windows 7 upgrades for you, usually takes 6 to 12 hours. You can just drop off the PC at our office, or we can pickup and deliver and reinstall for an additional charge. See our Windows 7 page for more details. 

Each additional email account (above 5): $1 per month

Additional disk space: $1 per month for each 1000 MByte

Additional static IP addresses: $5 per month

Domain name Registration: $20 per year (for .com domains. Other domain name pricing may vary due to market conditions.)

Domain Hosting: Plans starting at $5/month

Home User ($5/m): Domain hosting includes 1Gigabyte disk space on server for www.yourdomain.com with 5 email accounts at yourname(s)@yourdomain.com. You will have administrative control of most domain and email parameters through a web interface similar to the web-mail interface our internet customers use. You are responsible for building your own web pages and managing your email accounts. Domain name registration is not included.

Business Class ($10/m): Domain hosting includes 10GB disk space on server for www.yourdomain.com with unlimited number of email accounts at yourname(s)@yourdomain.com. You have access to numerous scripts and pre-installed programs to manage web sites, blogs, databases, and more. You will have administrative control of all domain and email parameters through a web interface similar to the web-mail interface on our Standard Plan. You are responsible for building your own web pages and managing your email accounts. Domain name registration is not included.

Coming soon: Virtual server where you have full control and can run any software - starting at $25/m.
