How to add an email account to Outlook. These instructions apply to any email domain owned by Lucketts.net, except for @lucketts.net. This also applies to any private domains that Lucketts.net is hosting for you.
Step 1: Start Outlook, select "Tools", and then select "Account Settings" from the menu bar.
Step 2: Select the E-mail tab. Any account already set up will appear here. Select "New". The Wizard will ask you to choose an E-mail service. Select "Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP" and push "Next"
Step 3: Check the box in the lower left hand corner that says "Manually configure server settings or additional server types" and push "Next"
Step 4: Select "Internet E-mail" and push "Next"
Step 5: The Wizard will ask you for the display name for this account. Choose what you want other people to see in the FROM line when they get your email.
Enter your full e-mail address.
Your Account Type is a POP3 server and the name for incoming and outgoing mail servers is "home.lucketts.net".
Your User Name is your e-mail address with the "@" replaced by a "." If your email address is firstname.lastname@example.org, your User Name will be test.taylorstown.net.
Enter your assigned password. You can change your password online at our website. When you change it there, you will have to come back here and change it to match.
Push "More Settings"
Step 6: Select the "Outgoing Server" tab. Check the "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" box.
Step 7: Select the "Advanced" tab and check the "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)" box. In the pull-down menu "Use the following type of encyrpted connection:", select TLS. Push "OK"
Step 8: Push "Next" and then push "Finish" and you're done. Do not push "Test Account Settings ...", as it will not work.
