How to Change Your IP address in Win XP
1. Click on the Start Button and select "Control Panel"
2. In the control Panel select "Network Connections". You may have a different Control Panel Screen. If so, click on "network and internet connections" then on the next page click on "Network Connections" under the "Pick a Control Panel Icon" heading.
3. Double Click on the icon representing your network card. It will usually be labled "Local Area Connection".
4. Click on the "Properties" button.
5. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and then click on Properties. Or you can just double click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). There may be more that 4 items in this list, and Internet Protocols will usually be near the bottom.
6. Enter your new IP address, Subnet mask, Default gateway, Preferred DNS server, and Alternate DNS server assigned to you. Please do not use the sample number 12.145.55.7, I can guarrantee you that it will not work. Click OK when you are done on each of the open windows. You should now be using the new T1 lines with your new address. If you are using an older version of Windows, you will have to reboot your computer.
